Pickleball - Tacky Overgrip

Maintain absolute control with our sticky pickleball overgrips

We've all experienced this moment of anxiety: it's 30°C on a Tuesday evening in July, the humidity in Quebec hits 90%, and just as you hit a decisive smash, your racket turns 45 degrees in your sweaty hand. Result ? The ball ends up directly in the fence and your opponent smiles. Your original handle is not magic; after a few weeks of intensive use, it becomes saturated with sweat and loses its friction. Install a tacky overgrip (sticky overgrip), this is not a professional whim: it is the simplest and cheapest way to stabilize your strikes and relax your forearm.

The little accessory that saves your dinks and smashes from sliding

No need to change rackets when the handle starts to slip. Unrolling a fresh overgrip on your handle completely changes the situation:

  • Instant “sticky” traction: Our flagship models from Babolat or Yonex literally stick to your fingers without leaving any residue. You can release the pressure on your hand without worrying about your racket flying back into the middle of the court.

  • Maximum absorption: Designed for long summer matches, these tapes absorb residual moisture to keep a dry, grippy texture from the first stitch to the last.

  • Thickness adjustment: If you have large hands and your current handle seems too small, layering one or two overgrips allows you to enlarge the handle inexpensively to avoid cramps.

Your stock of fresh overgrips awaits you in Boucherville

At Nation Sport, we don't joke with pickleball consumables. We know that real players change their overgrip every three or four weeks to maintain an optimal feeling of control. You go to the store or order online at the same time as your bulk outdoor balls and your racket edge protector. It's the quick little addition to your cart that saves you from shipping costs and ensures you always have a spare tape in your gym bag when the handle starts to fail.

💡 The Coach's Advice

The classic mistake to avoid: When installing your overgrip, please remember to remove the thin protective transparent plastic film before rolling it up! It sounds stupid, but we see dozens of beginners playing on the smooth plastic complaining that "it's even more slippery than before." In addition, always start the winding from the bottom of the handle (the cap) by stretching the tape firmly, but without forcing too much so as not to thin the sticky texture. Overlap each turn by about a millimeter to avoid uncomfortable bumps under the fingers.
